Which body massage is right for you?

Swedish massage

Swedish

The goal of Swedish Massage is to melt away muscle tension and increase the blood flow to your heart. Swedish Massage is extremely therapeutic as it decreases muscle toxins, increases oxygen levels in the blood, and improves flexibility in the body.

Deep Tissue

Deep Tissue is often mistaken for "digging in" or strong pressure but in reality it's all about Stroke Style, a specific technique to assist with reaching the deeper muscle tissues. While Swedish massage focuses on longer, more fluid strokes, deep tissue massage uses more pinpointed and broad strokes.  Deep tissue is focused on problem areas and mainly used to treat musculoskeletal issues such as strains and sports injuries.  While a full body Deep Tissue massage is not a stand alone service offered here at Fraser Valley Mobile Massage, we do use deep tissue techniques on an as needed basis. If you have strains or injuries you'd like treated we recommend an RMT.

hot stones massage

Hot Stone

Hot Stone Massage is often paired with Swedish Massage. Stones are heated and used with oils to soothe, warm, and massage your muscles. This allows your body to relax and release tension and stress.

Hawaiian Lomilomi massage

Hawaiian Lomilomi

a Polynesian method of kneading massage. The word lomilomi comes from the Hawaiian and Samoan languages. Lomi means "to knead.” The smooth flow of the strokes mimic the ocean waves. Practitioners use the palms, forearms, fingers, knuckles, elbows, knees, feet, even sticks and stones. It may be performed with or without emollient.

Thai Massage stretches

Thai

For this massage, please wear clothing that you would wear to the gym.

Indian head massage

Indian Head Massage

Indian head massage, also known as champissage, is a treatment that focuses on massaging acupressure points along the head, neck, and shoulders, often using circular massage strokes to improve hair and scalp condition.

It originates from an Indian alternative medicine system called Ayurveda, whereby it is believed that the mind and body are intricately connected and thus can influence one another. Through this theory, is is understood that Indian head massage can not only reduce headaches and improve physical well-being, but it can also improve mental and emotional wellness too. This massage is the heart of your signature massage. Oils will be massaged into your hair and scalp.

Manual Lymph Drainage facial massage

MLD (Manual Lymph Drainage)

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a type of massage that encourages the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart. Manual lymph drainage uses a specific amount of pressure and rhythmic circular movements to stimulate lymph flow. MLD is only available in your Signature massage.

Hot stones and candle

Gua Sha
